Once in the fairway, be prompt in arriving to your ball, selecting your club, and reading your yardage. Minimizing the time in preparation to hit your next shot can result in saving several minutes over the round.
- Do rush getting ready for your shot. Be prompt getting to your ball, reading yardage, selecting your club, reading your put. Be ready to play before it is your turn.
- Do not rush your shot. A rushed shot is more likely to be a bad shot which leads to a higher score and more time to play the hole. Be quick but do not hurry.
- Keep an extra ball(s) in your pocket. If your ball is lost, you have a replacement with your ready to drop.
- Do not stop to watch someone else’s shot. Make certain all your preparations for your shot are complete.
- Park the golf cart close to your ball. If you and your cart buddy’s ball are fairly close, split the difference.
- Mark you scorecard in the cart by the next tee box, not by the green.
- If the fairway is open take your shot, no need to wait.

- When you take a divot seed it and or replace the divot..
- Do not step on anyone’s line of putt.
- Fix your ball marks on the green.
- Rake the sand trap after your shot.
